Q.What is the lead time for your walk-ins?
Lead times vary depending on the time of the year and the size of your project but our standard lead time that we strive very hard to keep is three weeks. This is from the time an order is placed until it is ready to ship to the job-site. If you have a rush job please let us know and we will do everything we can to accommodate you.
Q.How long is the price on my quote good for?
30 days from the date on the quote.
Q.Can I change the specifications on my job after it has been started?
Changes can always be made to any project. It just depends how far in the manufacturing process the job is when the change occurs. Most changes will extend the lead time of your project.
Q.How do the new California Energy Commission laws affect my walk-in?
The new energy law in California requires that minimum R-values be met for both coolers and freezers. The law also states that certain size walk-in doors must be self-closing and glass doors need energy saving features added to them.
Q.Is there a difference between a walk-in that is installed indoors and one that is installed outdoors?
Yes. The structural load that could be placed on the walk-in in an outdoor situation is greater than one of a walk-in that is placed indoors. This load varies depending on what part of the country the walk-in is installed.
Q.How are the rising costs of raw materials affecting walk-in prices?
The ever increasing cost of raw materials is a constant challenge for all manufacturers. We at Custom Cooler are always looking for ways to control costs and be more efficient so that we can keep our prices as low as possible.
